Cupid’s Love History

It's just like Cupid hit me! As many people may know, Cupid is the god of love. Cupid is like the symbol of Valentine’s Day. He has wings  and shoots arrows to people to make people fall in love.

According to the legend, he was an adult and not a child as some people say or shown in pictures.  In classical mythology, Cupid means ‘’desire’’ that’s why he was the god of love.   Cupid also had no religion.  Back then Cupid was known for the name Eros the son of the goddess of love and the most beautiful god of all, Venus.  Cupid continued to be a popular figure in the middle age, when under christian influence he often had a dual nature as heavenly and earthly love. Cupid  is shown drawing his bow to inspire romantic love, often as an icon of Valentine’s Day.

Happy Valentines Day!
